Tesla do not just produce high-quality performance vehicles out of thin air. Tesla manufactures some of the basic electric components of their cars, including the electric motor, the battery pack, and the charger. It also aims to make its own batteries and microchips. Other essential components that it needs come from Tesla suppliers spread across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. It relies on an extensive and impressive supplier network to provide the inputs for final assembly. These include Mann+Hummel, Argent, Cooper Industries, Dana Corporation, Delphi Corporation, Emerson Electric, Garmin, Hitachi Cable America, Magna International, Molex, Nucor Corporation and many more. The reason we list these is that these parts manufacturers (and many more) also sell many of the parts they manufacture for Tesla directly into the after-sales market. We source these parts from the wholesale market and in most instances at substantially reduced prices. Because we are independent, we can often give our customers a choice of part brands allowing our customers to make informed and sensible decisions based on their individual requirements and needs while saving money!
